This tasty winter warmer can be whipped up in 20 minutes, and is an easy and satisfying way to start your day. Oats, chia seeds, and coconut are all high in fibre, helping you to feel fuller for longer and maintain even blood sugar levels over the course of the morning. Oats are high in B vitamins — essential for energy and helping the body handle stress. Chia seeds contain anti-inflammatory omgea-3 fatty acids, as well as calcium, which is important for strong teeth, bones, and nails.
IngredientsBase1/4 cup desiccated coconut1/4 cup rolled oats3/4 cup almond mylk1 grated apple, core removed1 tsp cinnamon1 tbs chia seeds1 tbs organic butter or coconut oilpinch of salt
Method1. Combine all ingredients in a pot, cook over a low heat for 10-15 minutes or until oats are soft.2. Top with almonds, chia seeds and toasted coconut.
