Apple pie porridge

This tasty winter warmer can be whipped up in 20 minutes, and is an easy and satisfying way to start your day. Oats, chia seeds, and coconut are all high in fibre, helping you to feel fuller for longer and maintain even blood sugar levels over the course of the morning. Oats are high in B vitamins — essential for energy and helping the body handle stress. Chia seeds contain anti-inflammatory omgea-3 fatty acids, as well as calcium, which is important for strong teeth, bones, and nails.

APPLE PIE PORRIDGE

Ingredients
Base
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
1/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup almond mylk
1 grated apple, core removed
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbs chia seeds
1 tbs organic butter or coconut oil
pinch of salt

Method
1. Combine all ingredients in a pot, cook over a low heat for 10-15 minutes or until oats are soft.
2. Top with almonds, chia seeds and toasted coconut.
